DescriptionThis is a horizontal painting of a landscape. The sky is a pale gray color with swirls of dark gray looming across from the upper left corner to the upper right. In the background on the right are distant, blue mountain range. The middle ground are three farm houses, with a dirt road spliting them, two on the left and one on the right. A person on horseback sits in the middle of the road near the house on the right. In the foreground on the left side of the road are two, brown cows. Behind the cows, leading off the image plane is a wooden fence. A mixture of tan, brown, and green deciduous trees scatter throughout the landscape.
