DescriptionThe image's central feature is a bald eagle caught in flight with the wings extended and the talons open; the eagle flies high above a village nestled amidst green rolling hills. The background sky is divided into thirds, a red sunrise or sunset, a white expanse, and blue with white stars.Directly below the eagle image is a printed poem by Joseph Rodman Drake entitled "The American Flag."
