DescriptionThe image is dominated by a small canoe-like boat supported by scaffolding, atop which a bearded male figure rests. The background has small lines and geometric shapes scattered throughout. The human figure wears an elaborate fabric headdress with beads and ornaments. He wears dark round glasses and has a large white beard and mustache. His sleeves are large and of many different fabrics. His left hand reaches across his body and holds a staff. His right hand is held out, also holding the staff. A string is wrapped around the end of the staff, extending down and ending in a hook. A fish, seen from the side, faces the hook. The boat has some ornamental carvings on each end. The scaffolding extends to the right of the boat, supporting a fluffy, terrifying cat lying over its front paws. The scaffolding sports various bolts and ropes. A strip at the lowest portion of the work is checkered, with some patterns interspersed. On View
