DescriptionThe image is of a room with a woman right of center, lying dead with an electrical cord in her mouth, her body partically exposed. The electical cord in her mouth is connected to a light fixture hanging from the ceiling. In the background on the left there is a man that has walked through the open doorway with a surprised look on his face. between the man and the dead woman there are bottles knocked over and sitting on the floor. In the background to the right there is an image of a saint hanging on the wall with lit candles flanking the image. At the bottom in the foreground of the image are the words "THE WAGES OF SIN" followed by John Held Jr.'s initials.
