DescriptionThe image is a portrait of a male figure set within an art studio; the figure is seated facing the right edge of the support with hands clasped together on his lap, has dark curly hair, wears wire-rimmed glasses, and is clothed in denim pants, dark sweater, and a plaid muffler scarf around his neck. The lower left corner of the composition is filled with a table top on which is placed a palette, paint tubes, brushes, and a pot and a can both containing brushes. Behind the male figure, in the upper left quadrant of the painting, a female figure sits with a brown overcoat around her shoulders and holding a mug in her hands.
