DescriptionThe image depicts a lone male figure, central to the composition, seated at the base of a large column which rises up behind him; the figure is clothed in a Roman-style robe with his bowed head resting on his right hand, the left arm by his side with a clenched fist. To the left of the figure a rooster stands to the left of the column base while two chickens on the ground below. The corner of a stone or brick wall can be seen to the right of the figure.
