DescriptionThis is an oil painting of two groups of female figures in archaic clothing, with a golden half-dial at center and an angelic figure above a central staircase. The group of figures on the left are holding lit lamps and look relativley tranquil, while the figures in the group at right are in darkness and distress. The angel figure at center is half-nude and gestures towards the group at left, and the golden dial has a stylized sun on it.On View
