DescriptionThe image is a portrait of a female figure and a male figure both clothed in Spanish style costumes. The female figure is seated facing the right edge of the support with her head turned to look out at the viewer; she is wearing a white strapless gown with a gauzy overlay and, in her dark brown hair, a Spanish comb and a white lace mantilla. The female figure has her right hand at her waist and her left hand is placed on the head of a large hound sitting at her feet. Behind and to the right of the female a male figure, with his back to the viewer, turns his head left to gaze at the female. The male wears a white shirt, dark pants, a colorful decorative belt or sash and a black gaucho hat. The figures are set within a stylized outdoor setting.
