DescriptionThe image is a landscape dominated by a large, old growth tree that stands barren of foliage. The foreground consists of a body of still water in which a fence made of wooden pickets extends from the tree out into the water; a wooden box is attached to the end of the fencing. Green pasture fills the middle ground with a fence behind and to the right of the tree. The pasture turns into a hill in the background, the hilltop providing a level horizon line. The sky is atmospheric with gray clouds. On View
