HARRIET R. HARWOOD

1870 - 1922
BiographyHarwood, Harriett "Hattie" Richards (1870-1922), was the wife of J. T. Harwood (q.v.) and a Parisian-trained painter of what Alice Merrill Horne (q.v.) called "elusive flower" pieces showing delicate effects. "Hattie" Harwood died in 1922 in California, which contributed to her husband's decision to return to Salt Lake City and a new job with the University of Utah.
