BiographyFrench XVII Century Painter, Sculptor and Architect, was born in Marseilles and first studied sculpture before going to florence and Rome in 1640. In 1644 he returned to Marseilles and worked on the Chateau. Later he worked for the french court at Toulon but in 1655 on account of ilness he gave up painting and specialized in sculpture. His workes are seen today in many French museums including Aux, Toulon, Cueres and Ciotat, as well as the Louvre, but very few of them are found in America.
