Biographywas an itinerant Pennsylvania-based painter and brother of fellow artists Thomas Moran (q.v.) and Edward Moran. He worked in Utah in 1879; may have been here at other points in the same decade with his brother, Thomas; was perhaps back in the state again in around 1900; and was known for his landscapes in both oils and watercolors. (b. March 4; d. November 9)
