Biographyof Oakland and Hayward, California, studied at Brigham Young University (B.F.A., painting, 1982) and the Arts Student League (1983). In 1986, he moved to California, then Colorado, then back to Utah in 1989. He is a classical-realist figurative and portrait oil painter often of religious subjects.
