BRUCE BRAINARD

Brainard, Bruce (1962-), was born in St. Anthony, Idaho. Now of Provo, he studied art at Brigham Young University (1987-). His work has been characterized as "tonal impressionist," and he is a major figure in the Utah School of Tonalism with Ron Richmond, Michael Workman, and Steve Adams. He is also a landscape painter who uses oils. (b. June 19)
