Makov, Susan, of Salt Lake City, is a photographer, painter, and printmaker, as well as a present-day member of the Weber State University faculty. Born in New York, she attended Syracuse University (B.F.A.), the State University of New York at Buffalo (M.F.A.), and Brighton Polytechnic (Diploma) in England. The creator of interesting handcolored photgraphs, Makov exhibits her work both here and in New York City (Associated American Artists), and examples of this photographer's art are owned by public collections in England and New York State. Selected lists of group exhibitions include shows at Brighton (1975) and Bradford (1976), England; Tempe, Arizona (1978); Ellensburg, Washington (1979), plus many more recent examples equally wide-ranging. Susan Makov and Pat Eddington (q.v.) have put together a great little book- "Trading Post Guidebook: Where to find the Trading Posts, Galleries, Auctions, Artists, and Museums of the Four Corners Region" (Flagstaff, Arizona: Northland Publishing, 1995).
