NAT LEEB
Nat Leeb is a truly unusual painter who is known both for his own works and his great knowledge of art. He owns one of the finest private collections of art in the world and was, at one time, a protege of French artist Claude Monet. His art hangs in some of the finest museums in Europe and in museums in the United States. Jean Cassou, Chief Curator of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, has said of Leeb's art: "Such pleasant art has a mood of its own, enjoyable in the most natural way, with nothing far-fetched about it, wholly delicate and unbiased, spontaneous by the effect of a flawless grace and a perfect elegance of heart and spirit. It can be likened to a pure artlessness which -- according to the rule of Debussy, congenial with air and liquid elements as he also was -- listens to the hints of no one but those of the wind as it blows along."
