DescriptionThe foreground of the image is a stone wall with foliage from a tree framing the right side and foliage from a climbing grape vine framing the left. The grape vine clings to a tower which has a bell extended just below the roof line. Behind the wall an open timber structure holds mounds of hay that cascade down touching the top of the stone wall. On the right the front face of a stone structure has a doorway opening, two window-like openings, and a line of small square openings out of which beams extend. Another structure can be seen in the middle ground with shutters on its upper windows. The background is filled with dense trees with cloudy sky above. On View
