DescriptionThe image is a landscape executed in a loose, painterly style in which a body of water fills the center of the foreground and recedes back into the middle ground to the right of center. The left shoreline is dominated by a large mound of green foliage with small areas of rust and brown; behind the foliage the outline of branches can be seen. On the right shore trees with rust foliage extend the entire height of the right edge.
