DescriptionThe foreground is flat land, dotted with scrub brush, and appears to be in shadow. On the left a dirt road cuts diagonally across the plane and disappears in the center of the canvas. Behind the flat land are mounds that are also in shadow. The background consists of large mountain mesas that are in full sun. Above the mesas the sky is clear and cloudless.
