DescriptionThe image is a portrait of an aged female figure seated in an out of door space; the figure is clothed in a black gown with a white lace jabot pinned with a broach at her neck, a large red toned shawl covers her shoulders and arms, a black bonnet covers her white hair, and she wears wire rimmed glasses. The figure is seated on a wooden slat bench and she holds a stem of lily of the valley in her left hand. The middle ground behind the figure is filled with trees and shrubs while beyond the background consists of a large mountain peak with the moon rising on the right.On View
