DescriptionThe image is an interior domestic scene of a juvenile female figure propped in a seated position in a bed playing with toy figures; the figure faces the left edge of the support so that the face is in profile. The figure is clothed in a pink nightdress with white lace at the end of the three-quarter sleeves and wears a white cap decorated with a pink rosette over her ringlet curls. The figure leans against large pillows covered in white cases and a green coverlet lies over her legs. A teddy bear is seated at the end of the bed with a doll lying next to it; the figure plays with an additional doll. The background appears to be wallpaper.
