DescriptionThe image is a portrait of a Native American male figure. The figure is seated facing the viewer and he dominates the composition. The man stares out at the viewer and a strong light source illuminates the left side of his face while covering the other side in shadow. He has two turquoise wrapped braids which fall on both shoulders and a gray and reddish-orange striped textile is wrapped around him. The background fades from a darker purplish gray in the upper left to a light tan in the upper right.
