DescriptionThe image is a portrait of an elderly male figure from the chest up. The figure is turned slightly towards the right support and wears a dark suit. The thin white collar of his shirt creates a contrast with the dark cravat and vest he wears. Wrinkles furrow the figure's brow and also appear around his mouth and neck. He smiles slightly. The paper surrounding the drawn image is blank and somewhat wrinkled. Just below the image the name "John P. Wood" is written in loose cursive and in the bottom right corner of the page, the artist has left an inscription and signature in pencil. On View
