DescriptionThis stable-like structure features a female figure sitting to the left of the manger, the female's head rests against the wall as she looks down at the infant. The infant's head is surrounded by bright beams, his face peeking out from the blankets in the manger. A male figure sits to the right, in the corner of the room, looking at the other figures with his proper left arm propped beneath his chin. The image is brightly lit by lanterns at the front of the image, casting the edges of the foreground in deep shadow.
