DescriptionAn etching depicting a crucifixion scene with a male figure nailed to a wooden cross just left of center; the figure is nude with the exception of a cloth tied around his hips. Below the cross to the left is a half-buried skull. At the foot of the cross a female figure leans against the cross while her legs and feet extend out right of center; a second female figure leans over her. A seated male figure is placed behind and to the left of the cross, hands clasped together, looking at a trio of figures entering the right middle ground; one figure is carrying a ladder. On View
