    DescriptionThe image is a portrait of a female figure clothed in a white empire styled gown with a V-neckline, stand-up ruffle collar, and short puffed sleeves. The figure has dark hair styled up and decorated with strands of pearls; she also wears matching pearl earrings. In the lower left corner the figure hold an open sewing box in her hands. Red drapery hangs as a backdrop with a triangle of landscape visible on the left.
