DescriptionThe image is a landscape setting for a large group of male figures entering from the left edge of the canvas; the figures, dressed in civilian work clothing, are armed with long rifles and are led by a male figure wearing a military uniform brandishing a sword and mounted a horse. A smaller group of male figure, more formally attired and unarmed, stands to the right. Further right, behind the smaller group of figures, ground foliage and trees form a barrier; on the other side of the trees, on the right edge of the composition, four swine can be seen running away.On View
