DescriptionThe foreground is a street scene; on an unpaved road four horseman ride, facing left, carrying rifles. To the right, a lone rider with a bundle on his back stops under a tree in front of a hut. A female figure stands in the doorway of the hut. A rock wall running along the far side of the street delineates the middle ground behind. This consists of dense foliage with two Spanish style buildings showing through. The background is mountainous. A painted border surrounds the work, geometric style waves on top and bottom with geometric line patterns and green parrots on each side.On View
