DescriptionThe image is a river scene. The river runs from the right background to the left foreground. Three female figures are depicted in the lower right corner washing clothes in the river. Dominating the center of the work is a large clump of leafy trees, these trees are on the opposite river bank as the figures. To the left of these trees is a white house-like structure with a black roof and red chimney. In the background on the same bank as the figures more white houses are visible amongst large trees. On View
