DescriptionThe foreground is a wide riverbed in which the water has reduced to a small stream. Above the back edge of the riverbank is undulating pasture land with two small log cabins. One cabin is situated centrally in the work and has a doorway opening toward the river. The second cabin is on the right and a window is visible. A horse grazes near the right side of the central cabin. Behind the pasture land, mountains rise up in the background. Sky can be seen only in the upper right corner.On View
