DescriptionThe image is a desert landscape of a natural red rock formation with two arches and a large column. There are short clumps of wild grass in the foreground and a small rock outcropping in the lower left corner. The middle ground is composed of a line of staggered rocks that angles back to the right until it reaches the main rock formation. The central rock formation is in the middle of the work; there is a tall column on the right and two arches on the left. There is another rock formation in the distant background on the right side of the work. The skyline begins approximately half way up the painting, but most of it is cut off by the rocks in the middle ground and foreground. The sky is light blue and there are several clouds on the left half of the work and one small cloud on the right half. On View
