DescriptionThe image is a landscape of a wild orchard in the foreground and white buildings in the background. There are two, prominent trees with deep green leaves on the right and left edges of the painting. Slightly further back, there is a group of trees in the center of the work. All these trees grow in a grassy meadow, on a hill that slopes down toward the left. In the background of the upper left quadrant, there is a group of white buildings with red roofs; they are staggered downward toward the right. Above them and to the left there is a rock formation with green shrubbery and bushes growing on and near it. In the distant background, a patch of calm, blue sea is visible. There is a soft outline of mountains, and a strip of light, cloudy sky at the top of the work.
