DescriptionThe image is a head portrait of a native African male figure facing the left edge of the support in three-quarter profile; the face and the back of the neck are shaded but the remainder of the work is executed in outline. The figure has a mustache and facial hair on his chin and wears a type of headdress on the back of his head that has feather shaped objects attached to the crown that cascade down.
