DescriptionThe image depicts an adult figure holding an infant figure; the figures are predominately executed in outline. Two-thirds of the visual space is given to the infant figure whose face is turned to the left in profile view and whose bare back faces the viewer. The infant's cone shaped head is held up by the adult figure's hand supporting the neck, one finger crossing the infant's left ear.
