DescriptionThe image is that of a female figure seated in a French provincial chair with her body turned toward the left edge of the support though the face is turned forward. The figure is nude from the waist up however a gauze-like shawl draped around the figure and the position of the figure’s left arm strategically blocks the view of the breasts. A draping textile, whether cloth or clothing, covers the figure from the waist down.
