DescriptionIn the center foreground a woman is washing clothes at a small pond. A woman is bringing laundry in a basket on the right. There are children playing in the pond and a mother dressing her child. Behind the people at the pond is a group of cattle. In the background is a wagon train pulled by oxen, set against a yellow sky. There are bushes in the middle ground separating the people at the pond from the wagon train.
