DescriptionThe image is executed in an Impressionistic style and depicts the interior of a church; the foreground is flat empty floor space beyond which a short paneled wall separates the nave from the choir space in which an organ and an organist can be seen on the left. Behind the choir space an apse is placed left of center in which an altar sits; the base of the altar is green with a golden upper portion topped with a golden cross. The altar is painted in such a way that the brush strokes appear to radiate from the altarpiece. On View
