DescriptionThe image is a landscape, executed in an Impressionistic style, in which the flat foreground and middle ground give way to large mountains that fill the visual plane. The flat foreground is the golden color of dried grass with a small green horizontal band that seems to be following a small body of water. The lower edge is in darker tones as if a cloud has darkened the ground with shadow. Clouds fill the small strip of sky that appears above the mountains.
