DescriptionThe image is a harborscape in which clusters of masted sailing ships are grouped both on the left and the right sides of a body of water with a small row boat floating between them; an arched bridge spans the distance in the background. A large white columned building appears on the right and the dome of a structure can be seen in the center background. A sun, left of center, glows through the atmospheric sky; the whole composition appears shrouded in fog.
