Biographyof Nevada and Berkeley, California, became an effective Provo artist who tended to work and then rework his mixed-media on paper creations to produce highly sensitive spatial abstractions consisting of texture and marks. He studied at Brigham Young University (B.A., 1976); Metal Plate Lithography Workshop, Western Graphics, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Collaboration Workshop, Tamarind Institute, Albuquerque, New Mexico (1980); Curating Workshop, Tamarind (1980); Intaglio Workshop, Utah State University (1981), taught by Moishe Smith (q.v.); Lithography Workshop, Oceanworks Printshop, Newport Beach, California (1983); BYU (M.F.A., 1981); plus post-graduate work with Wayne Kimball (q.v.) in 1984. He held positions as an art director, Intermountain Design, Provo (1977), and owner/art director, Design West Studios, Orem (1978-85). Awards include the merit award, "Utah '81"; merit award, Mormon Festival of Arts, BYU (1982); first place, Utah State Exhibition, Eccles Community Art Center, Ogden (1982); merit awards, "Utah '85"; etc. (b.
