Biographyof Rexburg, Idaho, is an illustrator, art director, and educator who was born in Glendale, Arizona. He earned an A.A. at Ricks College, a B.S. at Utah State University, and an M.F.A. at Brigham Young University (1971); he was also a teaching assistant at BYU (1969-71). Bird has been a freelance artist; an illustrator for Thiokol Chemical Corporation; an art director for Trailwide Corporation in Oxnard, California; a director of advertising and design for Chart-A-Matic Corporation in Orem; and an art director at Ricks College.
