JOSEPH BENNION

1952 -
Biographyis a ceramist and ceramic entrepreneur. He studied at Brigham Young University where he met his wife, painter Lee Udall Bennion (q.v.); together, they operate the Horseshoe Mountain Pottery in Spring City, Utah. Bennion's work was represented in the Upper Gallery at the Salt Lake Art Center (1984). He's been a member of Utah Designer Craftsmen, and is seen at work in a photographic reproduction on page 227 of Ward Roylance's "Utah: A Guide to the State, 2nd Edition." The Bennion place in Spring City makes an interesting stop among the architectural fascinations within that wonderfully preserved pioneer settlement. (b. September 5)
