BiographyVan Suchtelen, Adrian C. (1941-). A talented realist as well as a figurative semi-abstractionist printmaker and painter, this artist and teacher was born in Semarang, Indonesia. Van Suchtelen, a member of the Utah State University art faculty since 1965, studied at El Camino College (B.F.A.) and Otis Art Institute (M.F.A., 1966). Having also trained with Joseph Hirsch, Joseph Mugnaini, and his faculty colleague, the late Moishe Smith, this gifted and sensitive master of understatement has exhibited his work widely and won numerous awards.
