CARIN FAUSETT

BiographyFausett, Carin J. C. (1973-), of Provo, is a sculptor and mixed-media artist who often uses steel and wood in her work. She had a 1997-1998 show at the Salt Lake City Arts Council's Art Barn. Then, according to the summer 1997 issue of "City Arts", the newsletter of the Council: "[We are] pleased to announce the selection of 14 proposals for artists' exhibitions.... Artists chosen to exhibit in the Finch Lane and Park Galleries are as follows:... Carin J. C. Fausett, "sculptor", series of large suggestive or 'memory evocative shapes' constructed of wood, steel fabric and wax intended to evoke personal association." This artist studied at Brigham Young University from 1991 to 1995 and holds a B.F.A. (sculpture emphasis) awarded by that same institution in 1995. Since 1994, Fausett has had her work juried into nine shows, including four Springville Salons (1994-1999). (b. October 26)
