DescriptionThe image is a landscape of a large field of wildflowers with mountains in the background. In the foreground there is a small dirt patch in the lower left corner and what appears to be a grey rock in the lower right corner, amidst the wildflowers. The flowers in the foreground are painted in shades of red and violet. The flowers in the middle ground are painted in shades of orange; the flowers fade to yellow as they get further back in the work. There is a tree with green leaves in the background, on the right side of the work. In the distant background there is a strip of hazy mountains that stretches across the center of the work. In the upper half of the painting there light blue sky with many white, fluffy clouds. The brush strokes are loose and the paint is applied thickly.
