DescriptionThe image is an illustration for the publication Harper's Weekly. This image contains five separate scenes labelled as being in Colorado and are organized with three scenes along the top, one large scene in the middle, and the last scene along the bottom. The first scene is titled, "U.S. Signal Station Summit Pikes Peak" and depicts a small building structure with a flag pole in the center. The top center image is titled, "The Cave of the Winds- Williams Canon" and is dark in contrast except for the center where a polygonal shape of light is depicted. The upper right corner scene is titled, "Navajo Soda Spring" and contains a tent-like structure in the center of the image with a spring along the bottom edge. The middle and largest of the images is a mountainous scene titled, "Manitou and Pikes Peak", the foreground contains three figures, one male and two female, in the right corner of the scene; the mid-ground depicts a valley with trees and a few building structures, the background is a large mountainous landscape. The final image along the bottom register is titled, "Colorado Panorama" and depicts a vast mountainous landscape.
