DescriptionAt the top of the work is a down facing triangle with a female figure inside, her arms lifted above her head in a V-shape and her legs spread apart, as if she is leaping with one leg flung behind her. She is wearing a leotard and curved wings emerge from her sides. The female figure is imposed on a starry night sky with a crescent-like shape above her head. Her head and neck are leaning backwards. Underneath the lower point of the triangle are three sections of text. the top reads, "Alice Sheets Marriott center for Dance", the middle, "The heart and soul of where dance has been, where it is today, and where it is going." the bottom, "Gala opening 1989". Each section is separated by a small dot.On View
