DescriptionAt the bottom of the work is a rolling black space with light colored squares along the edge that make it resemble a strip of film. Along the bottom edge of the work is a line of text reading, "Spend an Evening with the Stars. BYU Film Society; Fr. & Sat. Nights; Martin Bldg." Above the black edge is a starry night sky with colors turning gradually from light to dark from the bottom to the top. Among the stars are dotted outlines of human figures. At the bottom are a male human figure wearing a fedora and a long coat, his hands in his pockets; a female human figure with a large feathered hat, some sort of frilly scarf or boa, and her hand on her hip; and three connected outlines of male figures wearing variously shaped hats; the middle figure has a cigarette leaving his mouth. In the middle of the work are another three figures: on the left, two profiles of a male and a female figure appearing to be about to kiss; a female juvenile figure holding her skirt in her outstretched hands; and a male figure wearing a bowler hat, baggy pants, large shoes, and holding a cane. At the top of the work are two more figures: a male figure positioned horizontally, one hand outstretched and a cap on his head; and a male figure in a top hat with his arms stretched to the sides. On View
