DescriptionThe image is bisected into an upper and lower scene. In the upper scene a male figure sits right of center beside a body of water; the figure faces the left edge of the support as he leans forward, holding a pipe to his mouth with his right hand. A scabbard appears to be lying across his lap and a pack sits behind him. In the lower scene a male figure stands in the left foreground on the edge of a mountain cliff with a large pack on his back and a staff in his hands. Clouds fill the valley below beyond which mountains appear in the right background.
