DescriptionThe image is an autumn landscape of a small river running through yellow- and orange-leaved trees. The river stretches from the lower left corner and curves in and out in a slight diagonal back toward the upper right corner; the river is cut out of view by a grassy hill near the right edge of the painting. In the right foreground there are rocks near the riverside and the ground is covered in yellow leaves. There are two larger trees on the right side of the riverbed that have a lot of yellow leaves and there is one small bush with red-orange leaves that grows right next to the right edge of the work. On the left side of the riverbank there is a large tree that grows diagonally toward the upper right, leaning over the top of the river; its reflection is visible in the water below. There are more trees with yellow leaves and red bushes in the background. There are also mountains in the distant background. Several small patches of blue sky are visible through the leaves and branches. On View
